Express Tour Completes Sweep of Stallion Stakes!

A. C. Silva's EXPRESS TOUR (Tour d'Or) gamely held off rival Outofthebox (Montbrook) by three-quarters of a length in Saturday's $450,000 Florida Stallion S. (In Reality) at Calder Race Course. In the process, the Marty Wolfson-trained colt completed a sweep of the three-race Florida Stallion series, adding the In Reality to his previous triumphs in the Affirmed and Dr. Fager divisions.

Under jockey Julio Garcia, the colt finished the 1 1/16-mile fast track event in 1:45. He became the fourth male juvenile to accomplish the feat, after Smile (1984), Naked Greed (1991) and Seacliff (1995).

EXPRESS TOUR isn't nominated to the Breeders' Cup, but Wolfson emphasized the importance of Racing's Championship Day.

"I would encourage him (Silva) to, if that is what he wants to do," Wolfson said. "You don't get many chances to take a horse to the Breeders' Cup."

Garcia also won the My Dear Girl division for fillies, riding VALID FORBES (Valid Appeal) to a three-length score over Rule Brittania (D'Hallevant). He became only the third rider to win both finals of the Florida Stallion series.

Bucksplasher Perfect Twins Doing Well.

Perfect Twins!

Irish Acres was recently lucky enough to be birthplace of a miracle. One of our broodmares, Sol De Vita gave birth to perfect twins by our stallion Bucksplasher. It is very rare for horses to have twins and rarer still for both of them to survive, even more amazing is when both are as beautiful and healthy as these two.

The twins have grown up here at Irish Acres with virtually no problems at all. They are independent and very personable. Their owner, a client of Irish Acres Farm could not be prouder of the beautiful, healthy miracles Sol De Vita, the dam of the foals, has given them.
